Kokology - The Ride of Your Life

I have had such a bad migraine headache today, I almost forgot about posting a Kokology game...

(pg. 46) Even for people with normally happy lives, there come times when the everyday seems just a little boring and, well, everyday. Although it’s certainly nice to be able to know that tomorrow will be a good day, too much predictability can leave you uninspired. But we know a way to escape that daily routine, if only for a short while. The answer lies in seeking out stimulation and the occasional thrill. This is the secret to being able to appreciate the value of even our everyday lives.

How do we bring thrills into our lives? Watching movies, traveling, and playing sports and games of chance. Or maybe a trip to an amusement park, a world where thrills mingle with fantasies. Let’s take a trip back to that realm of childhood excitement and fun.

1. You enter the park gate, the roller coaster looms before you with a line of people waiting their turn. How long do you have to wait in line before getting to ride?

2. Your turn finally comes and now you’re racing and plunging around the course. What kinds of feelings does the speed bring out in you?

3. At the most exciting point in the course, the roller coaster dives into a pool of water and you’re drenched by the spray. What do you shout or scream at this instant?

4. Next you decide to try the merry-go-round. But during your ride, for some reason the horse you’re riding breaks down and stops moving. What do you say to the horse?

5. Your ride on the roller coaster was exciting, but it wasn’t all that it could have been. If you were going to design the perfect roller coaster, what would the course look like? (you can draw it on paper or you can go to Discovery Kids and build your own coaster)

There are no right or wrong answers. If you choose to share your answers, you may leave a comment or you can keep your answer to yourself -- have fun with this one!

2. Excitement mixed with an adrenaline rush.

3. "WooHoo! that was refreshing" (Oh my!)

4. "It's ok boy, your just a little old and worn out." (hehe)

5. My coaster went like this:
corkscrew
large loop

Yes, way too funny. I so wasn't expecting SEX! (No pun intended.) Great answers too.

1. 20 minutes (that long? can't we just get to it???)

2. lightheaded and nauseous (seriously.)

3. nothing shouted... just inhaled water (!)

4. "Dem horse! Giddap!" (Oops!)

5. Blank. couldn't picture it. (Now I know why!)

Too freaking funny!

1. First I thought 45 minutes and then I thought it would feel like 45 minutes but probably really be only 20. Go figure on that one!!
2. Adrenaline
3. Some kind of yell or scream that didn't have words (!!)
4. Dummy (not accurate - I wouldn't say that).
5. Sort of a high one with a lot of dips. Hard to picture.

Very fun. I really hope your migraine feels better soon. Migraines suck.

Forgive me but I tend to write a book. I've had such a busy day--I'm looking at this in the middle of the night, so its late. Hope your headache cleared up.

I love amusements parks and very few rides frighten me or make me sick. My favorite just happens to be the roller coaster. I’ve waited over an hour for a ride on a good roller-coaster. It’s worth it. I love to be at the front or back of the roller-coaster, but I’m OK with wherever I end up sitting. As soon as that bar drops on to my lap I feel like squealing (and I’m an old lady). I love the feel of anticipation as the coaster climbs to the top of the rail—and then it’s hold onto your hat Hannah, as we plunge, circle, twist, jerk, defy gravity—screaming and laughing with delight for the whole trip. It’s like the best minute ever! Getting wet is an extra treat that makes me laugh even harder. I’d probably say something like, “wasn’t that the best ride ever, let’s get in line again.” I always ride the coaster repeatedly. I only go on the merry-go-round when accompanying children. No thrills there . . . if my horse stopped moving I’d probably say something like, “the old gray mare, she ain’t what she used to be”. If I designed the perfect roller coaster it would be tall, with a long drop. The more twists, turns and spins the better! I’m dreading reaching the age where I fall into that category—“If you have a heart condition, do not ride the roller coaster”. Sitting on the side lines would be sad.
