Phew! Now with all the birthdays over and finished with, things can go back to normal. I was spoiled, as usual, with some lovely birthday gifts... theater tickets, gift certificates for various shops, a ticket for the CN Tower, and hubby gave me a pro account on Flickr and spending money for my trip to Toronto next week - Yup, spoiled for sure!
We had approximately 30 centimeters of snowfall Friday night, leaving an unprepared city unable to keep up with the road clearing. Most of the city streets were impossible to drive on, and there wasn't much to do but stay home and cozy up. Hubby and I went out for a few pizza ingredients and made our own gourmet pizzas at home. Good food, good company and a good bottle of wine, what better way to spend a cold Saturday evening?
Sunday we took Baby Girl to the pet store so she could get some kitty toys and luxuries... this kitten is spoiled rotten already. The rest of the day was spent at home visiting with my brother, sister-in-law and my two nephews. And that pretty much sums up my weekend.
What did you do this weekend?

Your birthday weekend sounds perfect.
I enjoyed having the house to myself and putzed around at a leisurely pace.
thank you that is lovely - we went out and heard a wonderful Irish band (from central Alabama) named "Henri's Notions" - they are really cool
Your weekend sounds awesome!
What a lovely cozy birthday weekend. Sounds just great.
We had a simple cozy weekend as well. Mostly hanging around the house. Went out to coffee w/ an old friend yesterday - that was fun.
Glad you had a good birthday!

No snow yet here in ME, but I agree--days where you get the day off, and can just hunker down and eat and snuggle are pretty terrific!
