DIY Jar Labels

I'm still looking for ways to personalize the new pad, so this week I came up with this idea to design and print labels for jars that I purchased for my bathroom cabinet. They remind me of the jars I remember seeing in the pharmacy and doctor office when I was a wee girl.

I loved them so much that I want to share them with you. I have included these labels and a blank template for you to download and use on your own jars.

Directions:
Download and print labels onto card stock -I used a metallic white cardstock. Cut and past ( I used double sided craft tape) onto glass jars or decorative bottles or vases. Jars and glossy cardstock are from Michaels craft store.

Taking a little break

I'm going to be very busy in the next few weeks so I have decided I will be taking a break from blogging.
Repairs around here have taken up my full attention - with painting, cleaning and packing, and a hundred other task that need to be completed before I move.
I will be checking in every now and again to read your blogs and see what you are all up to.

Filler For Apothecary Jars

I just purchased a few Apothecary jars for the new house. They are inexpensive, simple accents that will spruce up any room, from the bedroom to the bathroom.

What to Put in Them:
Terrarium, wrapped candy, lemons, shells, soaps, natural sponges, old photos, antique keys/buttons/buckles, beach glass.

Do you have any Apothecary jars around your home? What's in them? What unique ideas would you suggest as a filler?

inhale, exhale repeat...

This week past was so overwhelming, I kept on forgetting that I need to breathe.
Caring for someone who is sick really took a lot out of me but today I am happy to report, my daughter is starting to feel like her old self again and is back at her apartment and back to work. Yipee!

{BREATHE}

I have some other good news to share...
Hubby and I just purchased a house!
We had been looking for a house on and off for a few years now, and when we were least expecting it, we found the perfect house in our price range, in the neighborhood we love. I wanted to blab this exciting news days ago but became so preoccupied with my poor sick girl, that I had put the news in the back of my mind 'till today.
- I'm going to be looking for lots of help with decorating ideas from you all over the next few weeks.
Will you help?
I'm soooo, soooo excited!!!

{BREATHE}

hmmmmm... that felt great; I should try that again...

{BREATHE}

Hubby and I have this week off, which will most likely be spent cleaning and preparing this house for showing perspective tenants. I'm sure I will be frazzled and stressing by the end of the week - usually this happens because I have horribly underestimated a task. I suppose I should be making a list to prioritize the things that need to be done to this place, but I am so distracted by the idea of my new place.

...wait for it...
