Thank goodness!... it's the last Monday of January. The winter blues are slowly starting to creep in and I've been looking for ideas to help shake the "blahs" and "woes".
I found this little framed cork board at Home Sense on Saturday and hung it above my computer at home. It's called a mood board or inspiration board... it will be a place where I can add images, quotes, colour schemes, etc, that will invoke my creative muse.
Some ideas I have for my mood board:
- favorite photographs
- inspiring quotes
- colour palettes
- personal mementos
- artwork
- letters/poetry
- magazine clippings/advertisements
Do you have an inspiration/mood board? Where do you draw your inspiration from?

oh how i share your appreciation that it is the last monday of january....
I have been saving corks from wine bottles - i plan to use hot melt glue gun to make a cork board from these.
I will have to do soon and get a picture.
I have always loved bulletin boards - I have a few. Also, my refrigerator is always covered - I should change it up soon - I would post 'em, but too many identifying photos.
Love these links too and I would be appreciative of the last Monday in January, except that it means that February is next, lol.
Hmmm, maybe that's why I've been gazing at Craftzine.com so much over the last week...could it be weather related? Ya never know. Great idea!
nice board...and i'm etting ready to launch the Home Improvement project and i think i will start up a scrapbook (a real one, with bits hanging out...not the pretty themed ones you show to your friends)and begin collecting inspirations for what i want to do. If i keep it all in one place, maybe i will come up with a cohesive theme and it won't end up looking like a brightly colored gypsy caravan LOL...
Inspiring as always...happy Monday!
Ooo, that's a great idea thistle. You will have to post some of the pages.
Amber, I think keeping your mind occupied on other things helps get through these long cold months.
Movie, that's too bad you can't post your boards... maybe you could blur out the faces.
Larry, that's great idea you have there with the corks... A useful recycling project.
Shadow, If only it were the last day of January... Soon enough.
