Building a New Tomorrow

Are you ready to play KOKOLOGY?

What is Kokology?
    Tips:
  • Say the first thing that pops into your head
  • Don’t try to predict answers
  • Be honest with yourself
  • Be prepared
  • Keep an open mind
{Book 1, Pg. 31}  The clock struck twelve, the ball dropped in Times Square, and the sound of champagne corks popping was heard around the globe. And after all the buildup, hoopla, and hype, after the apocalyptic anxieties about global warming, and eager anticipation, the world somehow managed to find its way safely into another new year.

1. You are working for an urban planning corporation and have been assigned to the community development team for a major new millennium project. You have been asked to come up with an inspirational theme for the city. What theme do you propose?

2. The project team has a number of members, each with a certain set of experiences and skills. Why do you think you were selected to participate in this project? (Give as many reasons as you like.)

3. What kind of person is the project manager? Describe his or her personality and qualities as a leader.

You can leave a comment with your answers or keep them to yourself  - it's up to you.

This one was weird. Or I didn't play right. Especially because I see the project leader as gregarious and lively - two things I don't anticipate being in the future...

Anyway, I loved playing Kokology this year, Jack. Will miss it. Thank you so much for your time and effort!

And happy new year!

1. Sharing the blessing of life in community.

2. Integrating groups of diverse people through activity. Supportive of group efforts. Valuing the individual and personal ownership.

3. Fair, yet a bit of a tyrant. Most project managers seem to have little life away from the job. This one is about that way too.

I hope you are well dear Jack.
And
Happy New Year 2010!
Toasts to you!

1) Reconnect with your city
Come outside and play by the sea Enjoy the beauty of your community. You never know who you'll meet
or
what you will discover...
Halifax, Come to Life!

2) I was possibly selected to work on the graphics or maybe the photography that would accompany the advertisements.

3) The project manager is an easy going gal with loads of pep and personality. She is someone who has great work ethics and likes a job well done.

Just a note to wish you all a Happy New Year. May 2010 be kind to you and your loved ones.

1. "Stop here on your way to . . ."

2. They chose me because I'm bossy, and planning theme parties is my thing. I'm really good at thinking through the details.

3. In my experience the project leader is usually pretty good at coming up with the big idea and taking all the credit--but it's the team that get's the work done.

fun one Jack--happy new year!

1. a futuristic city, where the problems of the present have been resolved (pollution, crime, etc), and there is a blend of science and nature, where the best of both are highlighted and support each other... spires of the city reaching high into the clouds and pure blue skies amidst towering old growth forests.
2. i was picked because i'm a visionary, a dreamer, keeping the vision moving forward
3. my team leader was fun-loving, motivating, able to keep everyone focused on the tasks that need doing and making progress, inspirational and loyal-inducing personality.
