Wandering Mind & Spring Snow Storms

My mind went wandering off again... it left Friday morning and still hasn't returned. Perhaps it is up in the big dark snow clouds that have been hovering over us for most of the day.
{Photo of the falling snow tonight }

Have you ever stood outside at night when the snow is gently falling down and looked up? It almost feels as if you were flying...

Point and Shoot Camera Tip

Getting some great night shots:
1.  First of all, get yourself a tripod.  You don't need anything too fancy, I have seen them for around $10 at the local camera shops.
2.Use a higher ISO,  800 or more.
3. Squeeze the shutter release, don’t press the button until your focused on the subject.
4. Use the self-timer.
5.  Practice makes perfect.

That is gorgeous.

We had a snow squall yesterday and it wasn't warmer than 30 today.

Hope your wandering/wondering mind focuses soon. I'm a bit out of it today myself.

I have done that and I love it. I remember one night in a hot springs in the forest when it was snowing, what an odd and awesome feeling.

Hope your mind returns soon with interesting things to report about its journey.

Thanks for the comments! Not bad for my little Fuji point and shoot :)

I was a little ticked off when I heard were were getting this storm, then I realized it most likely will be the last snow storm and that kind of made me just a little sad.

Beautiful shot. Is spring around your corner?

Thanks for pointing that out Movie... not only did I spell it wrong - I typed a 0 instead of an o.

*knock, knock*... yup, just as I suspected - hollow!

Actually, Jack, it made sense to me either way. :-) And nothing wrong with either too...

I like to catch the snowflakes in my mouth when I look up. I'm pretty good at it too!

yes it does, and it is a dizzying spin. one just naturally tilts the head back, flings the arms wide and spins with the falling flakes. giggles erupting spontaneously
