(pg.29) Every once in a while it's nice to take a break from your busy schedule and experience the world of art firsthand. Some of us go to concerts or plays, some take up dance or a musical instrument, others try their hand at crafts. And of course there's always a trip to a museum...
You are standing in front of a painting at an art museum, hands clasped behind your back as you try to take it in, when a total stranger comes up alongside you and says something to you. Which of the following does the stranger say?
1. "Isn't that a beautiful picture?"
2. "What do you think of this painting?"
3. "Excuse me, do you have the time?"
4. "You know, I happen to be a painter myself."
There are no right or wrong answers. If you choose to share your answers, you may leave a comment or you can keep your answer to yourself -- have fun!

My answer:
4. "You now, I happen to be a painter myself."I am a bit of and introvert, so I do tend to come across as a bit nervous when meeting someone for the first time.
Learn anything new and exciting about yourself? hehe!
How did you all do?
I would like #4. But #1 would probably happen to me.
#2, it seems that people are always in a hurry and being in an art exhibit tends to slow time down.
I picked #1. Hmmm, not sure if it's right. I do worry that people don't take me seriously. I am usually positive toward most things, but in person I am shy and not *friendly* in an outgoing sort of way.
This is a cool one, Jack.
Which of the following does the stranger say?
1. "Isn't that a beautiful picture?" When I opened your page and looked at the painting! wow! I want to be in that one :)It is beautiful.
2. "What do you think of this painting?" Lovely expression, warmth, peace, security
3. "Excuse me, do you have the time?" this person is a total ignoramus :) no excuse to be asking the time at an art exhibit, this is a moment on forever to be savored.
4. "You know, I happen to be a painter myself." Two word response to this: "Teach Me"
Both my husband I played this week--and we both chose # 2. Hmmmm....I don't know if it is right for him-he is way more of an extrovert than I am.
Gal Friday: Funny you should say that because when hubby played this with me, he never answers the way I think he's going to answer... We have got into quite a few discussions over this game -we have decided it is best not to play Kokology together anymore. lol

Larry: What a great idea! Thanks for adding a twist to the game ;)
My answers:
#1. "Yes it is! I also love his painting Danae"
#2. "Just one of my favorite paintings...so romantic and passionate."
#3. "Sorry no, I don't have a watch."
#4. "Oh! Which do you prefer as a medium; watercolour, oil or acrylic?"

Movie: I think this one could go many ways really. I picked #4 because I usually am approached by wackos in situations such as this - "I'm a painter" - then this person would most likely follow me around for the rest of the exhibits making odd chit-chat. lol
-------------
Kaye: It's true. Most people who visit an art exhibit are there to enjoy and savor the moment :)

PHST: I went between #1 and #4, but thought #4 would most likely happen to me... (See my response to Movies Answer) hehe!
#1... mmmm, maybe, probably
I love the painting. It is so detailed.
