I'll never understand dual seaters for out-houses. As if using an outhouse wasn't bad enough, it's not exactly an experience I'd want to share. Cool pic!
This might a chock for days people, but at that time, people did not know about anything else. It was in fact considered normal - and they sat together and talked about everything.
if you are sitting on one - the stink can still get out the other, otherwise you are "holding it" in - ewwwww! Has indoor plumbing made city slickers out of us all?
Too funny. I have been known to use any old outhouse when out hiking in the wilderness. I hate the alternative. (And would prefer a hotel to backpacking.) Ha.
